Family History

George William Marshall was the son of John William Marshall and Mary Elizabeth Simpson who married in the Bingham registration district in 1893. Their children included: George William (b.1895), Winifred Mary (b.1896), Annie May (b.1899), Ivy Elizabeth (b.1900/d.1902), Mabel (b.1902) and Horace (b.1904). The family lived at: Holme Pierrepont [C.1901]; 79 Kennington Road, Old Radford [C.1911]; 13 Canterbury Road, Old Radford [n.e.p.24.12.1917 & CWGC]. George William was probably working his father who was employed as a van man for a steam laundry [C.1911]. John William Marshall died at Nottingham, aged 83, in 1956. His wife, Mary Elizabeth, predeceased him, probably dying at Nottingham in 1947, aged 72.
