Bingham - St Mary and All Saints
The chancel screen (part 15th century) was restored in the 19th century. It was decided that the chancel screen would form the memorial and the 19th century restoration was removed and new panels with the names of those who had died in the war were put in at the lower level. Architect W D Caröe. Inscription: 'To honour the memory of the men from this place who fell in the Great War 1914-1918'. The memorial was dedicated on 26 June 1921. Two panels were added with the names of those who had died in the Second World War. There is also a Roll of Honour which was compiled after the Great War; the names of those who died in the Second World War have been added. (Source: Southwell and Nottingham Church History Project)
