James Eric Wainwright was born in 1895 the son of John a joiner and wheelwright and Ada Wainwright née Oldershaw of 63 Derby Road Stapleford Nottingham. John was born in in 1862 in Stanton, Derbyshire, Catherine Ada Oldershaw was born in 1863 at Stapleford, married at St Peter's church , Derby on 10th August 1884 and went on to have the following children, Lillian b1884, Maud b1885, Dorothy b1887, John b1889, Hilda b1892 and, James Eric b1895. In 1911 the family are living at 63 Derby Road, Stapleford and are shown as John a joiner and wheelwright, living with his wife Ada and their children John a gas engine fitter, Hilda a dress maker and Eric a card puncher.

Military History

Lance Corporal James Eric Wainwright enlisted at Nottingham, he landed in France on 17th March 1915 and was killed in action on 25th August 1917 and is buried in in Tyne Cot Cemetery, Belgium
