Family History

Isaac Arthur Tucker was born in 1896 the son of John Hallam a general labourer and Mary Ann Tucker née Beeston of 35 Antill Street, Stapleford and the brother of John William, George, Alfred Henry and Henrietta Tucker. John Hallam was born in 1859 at Sandiacre, Mary Ann Beeston was born in 1868 at Toton, Married in 1888 at Nottingham. In 1911 the family lived at 35 Antill Street, Stapleford, John Hallam 52 yrs is a general labourer.

Military History

Private Isaac Arthur Tucker enlisted at Debry, landing in France on 14th July 1915 he was killed in action during an attack on Delville Wood on 8th August 1916. His name is commemorated on the Theipval Memorial, Somme, France. M.M. (Military Medal) London Gazette 21.10.1916, For gallantry and devotion to duty when in the attack on Delville Wood on the 7th and 8th August 1916.
