Family History

Amos Parker was born in 1898 the son of the late Amos Parker a general labourer Hannah Parker née Shelton and the brother of Sarah Ann Shelton, Mabel Shelton, John and Jane Parker. Amos was born in 1857 at Loughborough, he died prior to 1911, Hannah Shelton was born in 1854 at Belper, married on 13th June 1891 at All Saints Church, Ripley. In 1911 the family lived at 13 Lawrence Street Stapleford Nottinghamshire.

Military History

Private Amos Parker enlisted at Nottingham, he was killed in action on 24th March 1918 and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France. Bay 7.
