Frederick Langham was born in 1871 the son of William a policeman and Rosetta Langham née Cramp. William was born in 1842 at Radford, Rosetta Cramp was born in 1840 in Leicestershire, married in 1862 at Radford they had 4 children. Frederick married Amy Stephenson (born 11th December 1869) in 1893 their marriage was recorded in the Shardlow registration district, they lived at 4 Victoria Street, Stapleford they had children Nora Caroline b1895, Bertie 1897, Walter b1905, Harry b1910 and Wilford b1913, In 1911 the family are living at Victoria Street, Stapleford.

Military History

Private Frederick Langham enlisted at Nottingham 26th May 1915. He went to France 6th March 1916 and was killed in action, 1st July 1916, whilst serving in the line at Ferm Du Bois, France. Buried: Le Touret Military Cemetery, Richebourg-LAvoue, France. Plot 3, Row H, Grave 22.
