Family History

James Hind was born in 1890 the son of the late John a Police Constable and the late Elizabeth Hind, of Derby. John Hind was born in 1857 and died in 1911 aged 54 yrs , Elizabeth b1863 and died 1889 aged 26 yrs, they had 3 children, Albert b1887, George b1889 and James b1890 all were born in Derby. He was the nephew of Elizabeth Ann Abbott with whom he lived in 1911 at 23 Victoria Street Stapleford and 20 Eatons Lane Stapleford at the time of his death. .

Military History

Gunner James Hind enlisted at Beeston whilst residing at Stapleford, he died on 27th September 1917 and is buried at Wimereux Communal Cemetery, France.
