Family History

Reginald Brown was the son of Thomas a builder and Margaret Brown (née Walters) of the Hollies Stanley Common, Derbyshire. Reginald was baptised on 2nd June 1895 at Stanley Common. Thomas was born in 1858 at West Hallam, Margaret Walters in 1858 at Codnor Derbyshire. Married in1881 in the Nottingham area, they had six children, all born at Stanley Common - Laura b.1884, Wilfred b.1886, Frederick b.1888, Eveline b.1890, Thomas b.1893 and Reginald b.1895. In 1911, the family lived at Stanley Common. Wilfred was a bricklayer, Frederick a joiner whilst Laura, Eveline, Thomas and Reginald were not in employment.
