Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Watson, of Awsworth, Nottingham. Elizabeth died 18 March 1887 aged 33 years, Thomas died 24 November 1901 aged 49 years. A sister, Alice, died in Chicago on 18 April 1909 aged 24 years.
Private Harry Watson enlisted at Nottingham, he died of wounds on 27th August 1915 at Gallipoli and his name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial, Gallipoli

Also of the above named Thomas W Watson who died Novr 24th 1901 aged 49 years. Also of Alice Watson who died in Chicago April 18th 1909 aged 24 years. And of Pte Harry Watson, who died of wounds received in Gallipoli Aug 27th 1915 aged 35 years.'
