Family History

Frederick (Fred) Bonner Perkins was born in Elton, Huntingdonshire, in 1884 (O/N/D Oundle Northamptonshire), the only son of John Thomas and Betsy Perkins. His parents have not yet been traced on the census or other civil records but a notice in a Nottingham paper of their son's death in 1916 gave their address as Norton, Derbyshire. Frederick married Elizabeth Jane Everett (b. 1878, A/M/J Radford) in 1906 (J/A/S Nottingham). They had two children, Frederick Arthur b. 1908 (O/N/D Nottingham), who died the same year, and Beatrice A. (Trissie) b. 1910 (O/N/D Nottingham). Frederick (26), a postman, Elizabeth (33) and their daughter Beatrice (4 months) were living at 52 Trafalgar Street, Radford, in 1911. Their daughter Beatrice married John Quick Coston (b. 1909) in 1934 (A/M/J Nottingham) and they had a son, Roger Frederick (b. 1937, d. 12 March 2008). In 1939 Beatrice and John, a turner (iron) munitions, and their son were living with her widowed mother, Elizabeth Jane Perkins, at 9 Homefield Road, Nottingham. Elizabeth probably died in 1962 (O/N/D Nottingham) aged 84. Beatrice and her husband probably divorced as there is a record of his remarriage in 1970 (d. 1975 A/M/J Nottingham) and hers in 1982 (Jones).
