Family History

He was the son of Richard Henshaw, a farmer, and the late Mrs Henshaw. In 1911 they lived at Tythby Grange, Nottinghamshire and later at 4 Porchester Villas Bingham Nottinghamshire. His brother, Corporal Robert Reynolds Henshaw, South Notts Hussars, died on 27 May 1918 when the troop shop SS Leasowe Castle was sunk by enemy submarine in the Mediterranean.

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial
