Family History

Thomas was born in 1887 the son of Paul an architectural surveyor and valuer and Mary E Bausor. In 1901, they lived at 52 Mauson Road, Cambridge. Thomas was a 14 year old student. By 1911, Thomas was boarding with Frederick and Polly Crane at 18 Howard Street, Wakefield .Thomas married Gwendoline Kate Morgan in Bedford in 1915. Thomas’s effects of £336/8s were left to his widow (Probate 25/7/1916).

The following article is taken from the 'In memoriam' section of the 'Retfordian' magazine which was an in house publication of the King Edward VI Grammar School, Retford :- Paul Bausor A.R.I.B.A joined the colours as a private in September 1914 and was soon gazetted to the King's Shropshire Light Infantry. He went out in February 1916 and was killed without a single wound by the explosion of a shell on April 6th. His brother officers speak of him as brave and well beloved. He was at school from 1895-1897
