Family History

Rupert Henry Musson (served as Worthington) was born in 1886 at Radford and was the son of the late James Musson and Ruth Musson née Kenney of 184a Ilkeston Road, Radford. His father James Musson was born in 1843 at Radford and his mother Ruth Kenney was born in 1845 at Radford, they were married in Radford in 1863 and went on to have the following children, Elizabeth b1865 Radford, John b1867 Derby, Samuel b1870 Derby James b1872 Derby and Rupert b1886 at Radford. In 1911 the family are living at 184a Ilkeston Road, Radford and are shown as Ruth 66 yrs a widow, she is living with her married son James 39 yrs a coal dealer and his wife Sarah 38 yrs and their children, Elizabeth 17 yrs and Ruth 12 yrs and Jessie 8 months, Rupert is 26 yrs and is a coal dealer.

Military History

Private Rupert Musson served as Worthington, he served with the 5/6th Battalion Royal Scots, he was killed in action on 26th August 1917 and he is commemorated on the Nieuport Memorial.
