Extra Information

It has not proved possible to identify his parents. There is a Walter Wakefield whose birth was registered at Nottingham in 1884 but no one called Walter Wakefield of the right age and birthplace can be found in the 1891 or 1901 censuses. Just to add to the uncertainty about this particular individual the SDGW gives his birth place as Retford.
