Family History

George Robinson was the son of William Sands Robinson and Lucy Helen Consterdine who married at Nottingham in 1892. Their children included: George (b.1893), Clara (b.1895) and Ida May (b.1900). The Robinson family lived at 11 Trafalgar Street, Radford [C.1901, C.1911 & CWGC]. William Sands Robinson, who worked as a lace bleacher, died at Nottingham, aged 69, in 1943. His widow, Lucy Helen, died at Nottingham in 1948 at the age of 78.

Military History

He enlisted at Nottingham, formerly served with the Sherwood Foresters [Servvice No.1837]; killed in action; as his body was never recovered his name was added to the Arras Memorial, Pas de Calais, France.
