Family History

Francis Gregory Phillips was the son of Frank Phillips and Elizabeth Corbett who married at Nottingham in 1896. Their children included: Francis Gregory (b.1898), John George (b.1900), Walter (b.1901) and May (b.1904). The Phillips family lived at: 1 Gatling Street, Radford [C.1901]; 131 Forster Street, Radford [C.1911]. Elizabeth Phillips died at Nottingham in 1918, aged 51. Her husband, Frank Phillips, a sheet metal worker, died aged 75, at Nottingham in 1942.

Military History

He enlisted in Nottingham; killed in action; as his body was not recovered his name was added to the Tyne Cot Memorial, West Vlaanderen, Belgium.
