Family History

David was the son of David and Mary Roome (died aged 46 in 1910). His father was born in 1865 at Bulwell and his mother in 1864 at Walsall. Married c1886, they had six children but only David and a younger brother Leonard survived infancy. In 1911 they lived at 93 Hempshill Lane Bulwell. He was the husband of Caroline Ann Roome who later lived at 56 Logan Street Bulwell.

Military History

David Roome enlisted in Nottingham and served with 274th Siege Bty. He he is buried in Potijze Chateau Burial Ground
