He was the only son of TM and Alice Robinson and the brother of Alice. At the time of Frank's death his parents were living at 74 Highbury Road, Bulwell.
Frank was reported missing on 21 March 1918 but his death as a prisoner of war was not confirmed until September 1918. He is buried in Sauchy-Cachy Communal Cemetery extension
Nottingham Evening Post, Roll of Honour, 19 September 1918: ‘Robinson. Previously reported missing since March 21st 1918, now officially stated to have died in hospital, prisoner of war, at Souchy-Councy, on March 26th, Frank Eric Robinson, Sherwood Foresters, only son of Mr and Mrs TM Robinson, 74 Highbury-road, Bulwell, aged 24 years.’ (www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk)
