Arthur George Flint was born in 1897 the son of the late George Flint and Annie Flint, of 15, Medway St., Old Radford, Nottingham, In the 1911 census Arthur is living at 262 Ilkeston Street, Radford with his grandparents and they are shown as John 66 yrs a fitter he is living with his wife Ann 59 yrs and Arthur 14 yrs a wood turner.

Military History

Private Arthur George Flint, enlisted in Nottingham, landing in France on 25th February 1915 , he died of wounds at 28th Division Casualty Clearing Station on 4th August 1915 and is buried in Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery (grave ref L.C.17A)

In memoriam published 4th August 1916 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “FLINT. – Private Arthur Flint, died of wounds August 4th, 1915, late of Woodyard, Wollaton.
