Frank Addison was born in 1892 at Barrow in Furness he was the son of Richard James Addison a timber merchant’s clerk and Anne Addison née Davies of 85 Ramsden Street, Barrow in Furness. His father Richard James was born in 1859 at arrow in Furness, his mother Anne Davies was born in Pembroke in Wales they were married in 1885 at Barrow in Furness they went on to have 6 children. In the 1911 census the family were living at 3 Mount Pleasant, Barrow in Furness, Richard Jmes 52 yrs is a timber merchants clerk, he is living with his wife Anne 52 yrs and five of their children including Frank 18 yrs a student teacher.

Military History

Second Lieutenant Fran Addison served with the 8th battalion Royal Sussex Regiment , he died on 22nd March 1916 and is buried at Corbie Communal Cemetery, France.
