Arthur Smith was born in 1888 at Nottingham He married Gertrude Annie Wright in 1910 at Nottingham. In 1911 they lived at 73 Henry Street Sneinton Nottingham, Arthur is 22 yrs and is an iron foundry dresser, living with his wife Gertrude Annie 19 yrs ( Gertrude later lived at 36 Lower Eldon Street Sneinton.)
