He was the son of Winifred Asker and the brother of Archibald, Florence, Phyllis, Ernest, Frederick and Cyril Asker. In 1911 they lived at 117 Colwick Road Sneinton Nottingham. Harold Asker died in Nottingham aged 73 in J/F/M/1962 so was placed on the memorial in error.
