Geoffrey Smith

Geoffrey Smith was born in 1895 he was the son of William John and Gertrude Mary Smith née Allen of 408 Mansfield Road, Nottingham William John was born in 1851 at Alvaston, Gertrude Mary Allen was born in 1854 at Burton upon Trent, they were married in 1888 their marriage was recorded in the Burton on Trent registration district, they went on to have 6 children, In 1911 Geoffrey was boarding at Buxton College Derbyshire. In the same 1911 census his parents were living at 406 Mansfield Road, Nottingham, William John 62 yrs of age is living on private means he is living with his wife Gertrude 51 yrs and 4 of their children, William later lived at 'Lamora' Thackeray's Lane Daybrook Nottinghamshire. His mother Gertrude Mary died 29th April 1915 aged 56 yrs and his father William John died 18th February 1939 aged 89 yrs
