Family History

Charles Arthur Hoyle was the son of Richard Henry and Eliza Hoyle, nee Carr, born in 1892 in Blaxton, Doncaster. He was one of seven children. He spent his childhood here and when he was 19 he was lodging with his sister and brother in law in Doncaster working as a milk salesman. Prior to his enlistment, he was resident at Malton in Yorkshire.

Commemorated in Combles Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
