Family History
Charles Drinkall was born in Wadworth, near Doncaster in 1890 to (John) Henry and Harriet Drinkall née Bonnington, the eldest of 6 children. In 1915, he married Sarah Jane Garnett of Finningley. Sarah, was the sister of Frank Garnett of Finningley, It was shortly after their marriage that Frank was killed in France, He is also named on the Roll of Honour memorial in Finningley church.

He enlisted at Doncaster, was killed in action and is honoured at Mendinghem Military Cemetery, Belgium
