Albert was born in Wrawby, Lincolnshire in 1888 the son of John and Mary Parker of Wrawby. In the 1911 census we find him living at 35 Don View Terrace, Conisbrough he is 23 years of age and is a horseman on a farm with his wife Alice 23 years and their daughter Bertha born in 1910 he stated they had been married for 2 years

Military History

Albert enlisted at Retford and originally served with the Army Service Corps with service number T/4/057116 , he later transferred to the 7th battalion The Queen's own (Royal West Kent Regiment ) he died of wounds on 16th April 1918. He is buried in Abbeville Communal cemetery extension, France
