Frank was born in 1879 the son of Joseph Theaker and Ann Surfleet Bell who for 50 years had lived at Austerfield and Bawtry. They lived at Station Road Cottages Bawtry near the station belonging to The Great Northern Railway Company in whose service Joseph had worked for many years. Frank was born in the Old Manor House at Austerfield and was a bachelor.

Military History

He was called up on 31st July 1916 at Doncaster and joined the King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry (33997) subsequently transferring to the York & Lancashire Regiment. He died at Aubigny en Artois of pneumonia contracted though long periods of exposure in the trenches.
