Family History

Frank Oldham was born in 1896 the youngest son of George a platelayer for a local railway company and Mary Oldham (née Cox). His parents were born at Beeston, George in 1869, Mary in 1861. Married in 1880, they had seven children - George b.1881, Mary Elizabeth b.1883, John b.1885, William Ezra b.1886, Florence b.1889, Ethel May Oldham b.1895 and Frank b.1896. In 1911, they lived at 18, The City, Beeston. Florence was a telephone works colour transferer and Ethel May a shop assistant.

Military History

Frank Oldham enlisted at Newark. He died of wounds on 23rd November 1918 and is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery, France, Grave Reference L1.A.2.
