He was the son of Alfred (died J/F/M/1911) and Jane Wood and the brother of Charles, Arthur, Florence Harriet and Ida Wood. In 1901 they lived at 17 Hanford Street Ilkeston Derbyshire. In 1911 they lived at 9 Loughborough Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham, along with a servant Dora Draycott.

Military History

Formerly 44686 The Prince of Wales's (North Staffordshire Regiment) He was killed on 12 October 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorted on the Thiepval Memorial (Pier and Face 3 C and 3 D).
