He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Cresswell, of Wollaton.
Military History
Cresswell was the Air Gunner aboard Defiant 1 N1731 , flown by Denis Winton, which crashed into top of hill approximately 4 miles S/E Gifford, East Lothian. It was completely wrecked and both occupants killed. The cause of accident is not at present known.
