He was the son of Mrs E Parsons of 36, Salisbury Street, Radford, Nottingham and the husband of Elizabeth (née Spick) Parsons who lived at 5, Holland Street, Radford. He was the father of William Spick.
William Parsons was killed in action on 3rd June 1918. He is buried in Fouquieries Churchyard Extension, Grave Reference: III D 1
