Family History

Walter George Rimington was born in 1892 the son of John William, a sewing machine agent, and Elizabeth Caroline (née Quigley) Rimminghton. John William was born in 1868 at Thorne Yorkshire and died at Nottingham aged 75 in 1924. Elizabeth Caroline Quigley was born in 1870 at Leith, Lincolnshire. Married 14th May 1889 at the parish church at Ardsley near Goole, they had seven children, five surviving infancy - Annie Elizabeth b.1890 Thorne, Walter George b.1892 Thorne, Ethel b.1897 Louth, Eva b.1904 Nottingham and Bernard b.1906 Beeston. In 1911, the family lived at 118, Denman Street, Radford, Nottingham. Elizabeth later moved to 37, Talbot Street, Nottingham having previously lived at 29, Halls Street, Stapleford.
