In 1911, he lodged at 17, Foljambe Road, Brimington, Chesterfield with George William and Elizabeth Kirkby. He was the husband of Fanny (née Harris) Wilson (born 1885) of Palmerston Street, Underwood, Jacksdale, Nottinghamshire whom he married in 1913 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district. His pension record card shows his widow Fanny was living at Haywood Street, Brimington near Chesterfield when she was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week which commenced on 2nd December 1918.

Military History

Lance Corporal Leonard Wilson enlisted at Chesterfield whilst residing at Chesterfield Formerly 75785 11th TR (Training Reserve) battalion, he was serving with the 10th battalion Royal Fusiliers when he died of wounds on 16th May 1918, he is buried at St Sever Communal Cemetery Extension, Rouen, Grave Reference: P XI B 1A
