Family History

Charles Sedgwick Coxon was born in 1891 he was baptised on 1st December 1901 at Breadsall parish church, he was the son of John a plate layer and Mary of Breadsall and Nephew of Arthur and Ellen Sleigh, of 90 Monk Street, Derby. In 1911 Charles has left the family home, he is living at 40 Princess Street, Derby he is 20 yrs of age, single and a plain net twist hand he is boarding with William Forrest 38 yrs a railway labourer and his family.

Military History

Charles Sedgwick Coxon enlisted at Nottingham, he died at the 2/2nd London Casualty Clearing Station on 9th February 1917 and he is buried in Grove Town Cemetery, Meaulte.
