He was the son of William and Hannah Falconbridge and the brother of Harry and Ada. In 1911, they lived at 285, Denman Street and later at 35, Citadel Street, Radford, Nottingham. The notice of William's death gives his parents' address as 33, Citadel Street.
Private William Falconbridge attested on 10th December 1915 at Nottingham giving his age as 21 yrs and 7 months his address as 35 Citadel Street, Nottingham and his occupation as a leather dresser, his next of kin was his father William of the same address, he was posted to the reserves. On the 6th March 1916 he was mobilised and reported to the depot at Derby . He served with the 5th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment and went to France on 11th July 1916 he was killed in action, 8th October 1916, aged 22, whilst serving in the line at Grosville, France.He is buried in Bellacourt Military Cemetery, Riviere.

Mother, father, 33 Citadel Street. Brother and sister, Harry and Ada.' 'Falconbridge.
