George Cooke married his wife Annie and they lived at 2 Clayton Square, Radford , Nottingham, they had a daughter Amelia born 22nd February 1909. His widow late lived at 77, Knight's Row, Bloomsgrove Street, Radford, Nottingham she was awarded a pension of 15 shillings a week which commenced on 7th February 1916.

Military History

Private John Cooke enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 2nd battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. He landed in France on 18th May 1915 and died on 24th May 1915, having no known graves his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Panel 8 and 12
