Family History

He was the son of James Charles, a stationer, and Martha Wheat of 20 Ebury Road Sherwood Rise Nottingham. Martha died 29/10/1920 aged 73. He was the brother of Minnie and Elsie Wheat. His effects of £100 were left to his mother Martha (Probate Nottingham 6/5/1919).

Military History

He was wounded in 1916 and was killed in action on 1st September 1918. He is buried in Queant Road Cemetery, Buissy.. (grave ref VI.F.7)
