He was the son of Harry and Elizabeth Padley and the brother of Elizabeth Ellen, Annie Ellen, Rose, Hilda and Alfred Padley. In 1911 they lived at 49 Broad Oak Street St Ann's Nottingham, but they later moved to 58 Church Drive, Carrington, Nottingham.
Private Frank Padley, served with the 200th Canadian Infantry Battalion, he died on 25th May 1917. He is buried in Shorncliffe Military Cemetery.
In memoriam published in the Nottingham Evening Post dated 25th May 1918 :- “PADLEY. – To the beloved memory of our dear son, Pte. Frank Padley (Canadians), killed May 25th, 1917. Ever in our thoughts. – Mother and dad. “PADLEY. – In loving memory of our dear brother, Pte. Frank Padley (Canadians), killed May 25th, 1917. – Rosie and Hilda. “PADLEY. – In affectionate remembrance of our dear brother, Pte.
