Arthur Murcott (junior) was born in 1895 he was the son of Arthur Murcott (senior) and Jane (née Poole) Murcott of 175 Lamb Avenue Toronto Canada. Arthur Murcott and Jane Poole were both born in 1874 at Radford, they were married in 1894 at Nottingham, they had 3 children, Arthur b1895, Harold born 1897 both born in Nottingham, and Frank born 1902 at Bolton In 1891 Arthur Murcott senior lived at 19 Gate Street Radford Bridge Road New Radford Nottingham. It would appear the family emigrated to Canada arriving on 9th December 1910 at Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Military History

Private Arthur Murcott enlisted in Canada, he served with 2nd Field Ambulance Canadian Medical Corps. He was killed in action on 17th April 1916 and is buried at Vlamertinghe Military Cemetery Grave Reference: I A 30
