Family History

He was the son of Alexander and Annie Conroy and the brother of William, Frances, Elizabeth and Mary Anne Conroy. In 1901 the family lived at 8 St Stephen's Gardens Burgass Road Thorneywood Nottingham. In 1911 they lived at 2 Burgass Road but Thomas was not listed. presumably he had by then emigrated to Australia.

Military History

Private Thomas Francis Conroy, served with the 55th Battalion Australian Imperial Force, he was killed in action on 9th May 1917. He is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial.
