Harry Winrow Hardy

Harry Winrow Hardy was born on 10th June 1886 at St Ann’s, Nottingham, he was baptised on 23rd August 1886 at St Ann’s, Nottingham, he was the son of Henry Walter a lace maker and Emma Hardy nee Winrow of Peashill Road, St Ann’s, Nottingham. His father Henry Walter was born in 1849 at Loughborough, his mother Emma Winrow was born in 1843 at Nottingham, they were married on 3rd October 1872 at St Ann’s, Nottingham. In 1901 the family lived at 20 Peas Hill Road Nottingham. In the 1911 census Harry has lef t the family home, he is serving in the Army and is in barracks at India with the 2nd battalion King’s Own Yorkshire Light infantry, he is 23 yrs of age. Harry married Mary Bridget Harris (born 5th November 1890) in Nottingham in 1913 they went on to have a son Harry Winrow Hardy born 25th February 1914 .Commencing 21st June 1915 his widow was awarded a pension of 15 shillings a week she was living at 8 Kearney's Avenue, Cork.
