He was the husband of Susan (née Newton) Terry and the father of Elsie Annie, Richard Henry, John Harold, Leonard, Dorothy and Harold Terry. In 1911 they lived at 29 Dame Agnes Street and later 46 Sycamore Road (both St Ann's Nottingham).
