Charles Luckett

Charles Luckett was born in 1878 in London and was the son of Ben a boat builder and Mary Ann Luckett, née Bass of 13 Glebe Street, Nottingham. His father Ben was born in 1852 in London and his mother Mary Ann Bass was born in 1854 also in London, they were married on 1st November 1875 at St Peters Church, Hammersmith, London and went on to have 17 children , sadly 5 were to died in infancy or early childhood, their surviving children were, Ben b1876 London, Charles b1878 London, Fred b1880 London, Rosa b1881 London, Minnie b1886 London, Ernest b1888 Nottingham, William b1889 Nottingham, Nellie b1893 Nottingham, Daisy Bell b 1894 Nottingham, Ida b1897 Nottingham and Albert b1900 Nottingham. In the 1911 census the family are living at 13 Glebe Street, Nottingham and are shown as Ben 59 yrs a boat builder, he is living with his wife Mary Ann 57 yrs and their children, Charles 33 yrs a strainer at leather works, Fred 31 yrs a striker at leather works, William 22 yrs a waiter, Nellie 18 yrs a lace finisher, Daisy 17 yrs a lace finisher, Ida 14 yrs a scholar and Albert 11 yrs a scholar.
