He was the son of Joseph and Emma Perkins and the brother of Joseph, Samuel and Percy Perkins. In 1901 they lived at 83 Newington Street Manvers Street Nottingham. He was the husband of Elizabth Ann Perkins and the father of Ernest Percy Perkins. In 1911 they lived at 1 Magson Terrace Seymour Street and later at 5 Hedderley Street St Ann's (both Nottingham).
