Arthur James Robinson was the only child of Arthur a brass bobbin finisher and Rose Robinson née Glover of 3 Peveril Terrace Peveril Street Alfreton Road Nottingham. Arthur was born in 1868 at Nottingham, Rose Glover was born in 1869 also in Nottingham, they were married in 1889 at Nottingham. In 1911 the family are living at 3 Peveril Terrace, Peverill Street, Arthur is 43 yrs and is a brass bobbin finisher, Arthur (James) 21 yrs a brass bobbin finisher.

Military History

Private Arthur James Robinson enlisted at Reading whilst residing in Nottingham, he served with the 8th battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment and was killed in action on 14th July 1916 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
