He was the son of Robert and Maria Pheasey and the brother of Ernest, Robert (died Nottingham 1911), Frederick (killed in action 15/10/1917) and Gertrude Pheasey. In 1891 they lived at 31 Storer Street Sneinton Nottingham. He was the husband of Ada (née Wildman) Pheasey and the father of Florence and Lily Irene Pheasey. In 1911 they lived at 12 Brown's Yard Cattle Folds Lane Sheffield.
