Henry Mellors was the son of George and Alice Mellors and the brother of George F, Charles W, Gertrude, Alice E, Arthur and Horace Mellors. 1n,1891, the family lived at Langwith Works, Langwith, Worksop, Nottinghamshire. By 1901, they had moved to (Cotton Mill), Nether Langwith. Henry was the husband of Leone (née Shaw) Mellors and the father of Oscar Mellors (1904 -1935). In 1911, they lived at 6, Osborne Street, Annesley Woodhouse, Kirkby in Ashfield. In 1939, Leone Mellors was a maid/companion at West Porlock, Somerset. She died at Nottingham aged 78 in 1962.
There are no military records for this man so overseas service seems improbable. His death was registered in the Basford District J/A/S/1915. It is presumed he was discharged from the army because of illness or following an accident. David Nunn
