Family History

Harold Langford was born in 1894 the son of William a coal miner hewer and Sarah Langford née Timbrell of 48, Oxford St., East Kirkby, Nottinghamshire. William was born in 1863 at Tipton, Staffordshire, Sarah Timbrell was born in 1864 at Preston, Yorkshire, married on 6th April 1885 their marriage was recorded at Church Greasley, they had 11 children, 2 died in infancy or early childhood. In 1911 the family were living at Main Street, Albert Village.

Military History

Driver Harold Langford enlisted at Mansfield, he served in the Balkans and died of disease on 27th September 1918 at 64th General Hospital at Salonika. He is buried at Salonika Lembert Road, Military Cemetery, Greece.
