Family History

Frank Fisher was born in 1894 at Lenton, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Fisher and the brother of Annie, Samuel and Ada Fisher. In 1901 they lived at 22 Bromley Street Nile Street St Ann's Nottingham (St Catharine's Parish). His father Thomas was born in 183 at Radord, he was a coal merchant, his mother Mary Ann Moreton was born in 1856 at Newark, they were married in 1881 their marriage was recorded in the Newark registration district, they went on to have 4 children. At the time of Frank’s death his next of kin was his brother Samuel Fisher 120 Sycamore Road, Woodborough Road, Nottingham.

Military History

Private Frank Fisher enlisted at Preseton, on 26th August 1908 giving his age as 15 yrs and 11 months he was a musician, he served with the second battalion Leicestershire Regiment, In 1911 he was serving at Fort St George Madras India with 2nd Battalion Leicestershire Regiment he was 18 yrs of age, he died on 20th August 1914 in India and is buried at Lucknow Cantonment Military Cemetery. India.
