Family History

He was baptised Edward Brace Farnsworth on 6th January 1884 at Ironville in Derbyshire and was the son of John a groom and Frances Sarah Fletcher of 40 Birrell Road, Nottingham. His father was born at Ironville in 1843, his mother at at Pentrich, Derbyshire in 1845. Married in 1845, they had five children four surviving infancy – Harriet b. 1871, John b. 1874, William Fletcher b.1875 and Edward Brace b.1884. In 1911 they lived at 40 Birrel Road, Nottingham. John 37 was a pork butcher and William Fletcher a baker. Edward Brace married Ethel Huson in 1911 in Nottingham and they lived at 138 Carlton Hill Nottingham. Ethel inherited Edward’s effects of £329/12/7d (Probate Nottingham 28/3/1919)

Military History

He enlisted at Carlton Nottingham and he died in captivity of 'darmkatarrh' enteritis on . He is buried in Cologne Southern Cemetery..
